The Civil & Infrastructure segment of KTC Group essentially operates under our flagship company – KTC Civil Engineering & Construction Pte Ltd. After our successful venture in Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort, we embarked on numerous civil and infrastructure projects which include the Construction of Tampines Central Station for Downtown Line 3 and Design and Build of a Bus Depot at Bulim. Both projects were awarded by the Land Transport Authority and were completed in 2017 and 2015 respectively.
Our earthwork operation, started in 1988 under Kok Tong Construction Pte Ltd, encompasses deep/bulk excavation works and earth transportation. Having spent almost thirty years in this field, we are recognized as one of the largest earthwork contractors in Singapore owning a mammoth fleet of machinery and tipper trucks. Our excellent track record and timely delivery for all our projects had anchored our presence firmly as the preferred partner in this highly specialized field.
Eastern Continent’s Liquid Modified Soil (LMS), an engineered self-compacting void filling material develop from recycled unsuitable soil/sand/slurry and cement, is produced from our state of the art computer automated plant similar to the ready-mix concrete plant. High standard of quality control implemented at the plant ensure that our products are consistent and complying.
In our latest research on LMS, we developed an extended product lines which are Lightweight Liquid Modified Soil (LW-LMS) and High-Flow Liquid Modified Soil (HF-LMS). These new LMS products can be customized according to technical requirements on densities and flowability yet maintaining reasonable strength for specific applications.
To align with Singapore’s vision in construction sustainability, Eastern Continent also recycle concrete debris from demolishing works and convert them into useable products as Recycled Concrete Aggregate (RCA).
